Spirit of your Father Speaks

"For it will not be you who speak
but the Spirit of your Father
speaking through you. "
(Matthew 10:20)

Our mission is to share God’s love boldly, regardless of challenges. While trials may come, our faithfulness matters. Even in persecution, God’s guidance and presence sustain us. Discernment and purity should characterize our interactions. Trusting in the Lord dispels fear. Perseverance leads to eternal reward.

16 Jesus said to his Apostles: “Behold, I am sending you like sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and simple as doves. 17 But beware of men, for they will hand you over to courts and scourge you in their synagogues, 18 and you will be led before governors and kings for my sake as a witness before them and the pagans. 19 When they hand you over, do not worry about how you are to speak or what you are to say. You will be given at that moment what you are to say. 20 For it will not be you who speak but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you. 21 Brother will hand over brother to death, and the father his child; children will rise up against parents and have them put to death. 22 You will be hated by all because of my name, but whoever endures to the end will be saved. 23 When they persecute you in one town, flee to another. Amen, I say to you, you will not finish the towns of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”  (Matthew 10:16-23)

In trials and tribulations, we stand, Our faithfulness unwavering, hand in hand. Persecution may come, but we remain strong, Guided by God’s presence, where we belong. Discernment shapes our every choice, Purity in our interactions, our voice. Trusting the Lord, fear dissipates, Perseverance our path to eternal gates. For love, we boldly raise our voice, In challenges, we find our purpose, our choice. Faithful hearts, unwavering and true, God’s love sustains us, forever anew.

Dear Lord Jesus, in the face of challenges, we stand resolute, Our mission clear: to share Your love, absolute. Trials may assail us, yet our faith remains, For in our faithfulness, Your glory sustains. When persecution surrounds us like a storm, Your guidance, a beacon, keeps our hearts warm. Discernment and purity, our daily guide, May they shape our interactions, side by side. Trusting in You, fear dissipates like mist, Your presence, our refuge, where shadows cease to exist. Perseverance, the path to our eternal reward, As we boldly proclaim Your name, O Christ our Lord. Amen.

God’s love and restoration are available to all who turn to Him. Despite our unfaithfulness, God responds with abundant grace. God’s desire is to heal, love, and restore us. True repentance involves turning away from our wrongdoings and humbly seeking God’s forgiveness. Worship isn’t just about ritual sacrifices but also heartfelt words. Authentic worship involves sincere devotion and communication with God. Let us rely on God’s grace and trust in God’s mercy rather than our own efforts or external sources.

2 Thus says the Lord: Return, O Israel, to the Lord, your God; you have collapsed through your guilt. 3 Take with you words, and return to the Lord; Say to him, “Forgive all iniquity, and receive what is good, that we may render as offerings the bullocks from our stalls. 4 Assyria will not save us, nor shall we have horses to mount; We shall say no more, ‘Our god,’ to the work of our hands; for in you the orphan finds compassion.” 5 I will heal their defection, says the Lord, I will love them freely; for my wrath is turned away from them. 6 I will be like the dew for Israel: he shall blossom like the lily; He shall strike root like the Lebanon cedar, 7 and put forth his shoots. His splendor shall be like the olive tree and his fragrance like the Lebanon cedar. 8 Again they shall dwell in his shade and raise grain; They shall blossom like the vine, and his fame shall be like the wine of Lebanon. 9 Ephraim! What more has he to do with idols? I have humbled him, but I will prosper him. “I am like a verdant cypress tree,” because of me you bear fruit! 10 Let him who is wise understand these things; let him who is prudent know them. Straight are the paths of the Lord, in them the just walk, but sinners stumble in them. (Hosea 14:2-10)

God’s love, a boundless sea, awaits the weary heart, Where broken souls find solace, and healing’s gentle start. Despite our wandering steps, our unfaithfulness and strife, He responds with grace abundant, the wellspring of new life. His desire? To mend the fractures, love’s tapestry restore, To whisper hope to wounded hearts, to heal and to adore. True repentance blooms like flowers after rain, Turning from our wrongs, we find forgiveness’ sweet refrain. Not mere ritual sacrifices, but words from depths within, Our worship, like incense rising, a fragrant offering. Authentic devotion, heartfelt and sincere, In whispered prayers and praises, God’s presence draws us near. So let us trust His mercy, lean on grace’s wings unfurled, For God’s love and restoration embrace the contrite world. In brokenness, we find wholeness; in surrender, we are free, For His grace is our refuge, and His love our sanctuary.

Heavenly Father, we come before You, humbled by Your boundless love and grace. Your desire is to heal, restore, and love us, even when we falter and stray. Today, we lift our hearts to You. Lord, we acknowledge our wrongdoings—the moments we turned away, the choices that wounded our souls. We seek Your forgiveness, knowing that Your mercy is greater than our failings. Teach us true repentance. May we turn away from our sins, not just in words but in deeds. May our hearts be contrite, our spirits humble, as we seek reconciliation with You. Our worship isn’t confined to rituals or sacrifices. It’s in the whispered prayers, the tears shed, the gratitude expressed. Help us worship You with authenticity, pouring out our hearts in devotion. Thank You for responding with abundant grace. When we feel unworthy, remind us that Your love knows no bounds. You reach out to us, arms open wide, ready to restore what is broken. Lord, we surrender our efforts and external sources. Instead, we rely on Your grace. You are our refuge, our strength. May we trust in Your mercy, knowing that You hold us in Your hands. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

God values a heart that recognizes its need for Him. True repentance involves recognizing our sin and seeking God’s mercy. When we repent, God graciously restores our joy and upholds us by His Spirit. True joy comes from reconciliation with God. Our hope lies in God’s grace. We should rely on His forgiveness rather than trying to cover up our wrongdoings. Our repentance isn’t just personal—it impacts others. We should share God’s grace and truth with those around us.

3 Have mercy on me, O God, in your goodness; in the greatness of your compassion wipe out my offense. 4 Thoroughly wash me from my guilt and of my sin cleanse me. (R) 8 Behold, you are pleased with sincerity of heart, and in my inmost being you teach me wisdom. 9 Cleanse me of sin with hyssop, that I may be purified; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (R) 12 A clean heart create for me, O God, and a steadfast spirit renew within me. 13 Cast me not out from your presence, and your Holy Spirit take not from me. (R) 14 Give me back the joy of your salvation, and a willing spirit sustain in me. 17 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth shall proclaim your praise. (Psalm 51:3-4, 8-9, 12-13, 14, 17)

In shadows deep, where guilt resides, A heart awakens, humbled, tried. It bows before the throne of grace, Seeking mercy in that sacred space. True repentance blooms like dawn, Acknowledging the stains we’ve drawn. God’s love, a balm for wounded souls, Restores our joy, makes broken whole. His Spirit whispers through our tears, Guiding steps, dispelling fears. Reconciliation’s sweet refrain, Bridges gaps, heals every pain. Hope unfurls within His grace, A refuge strong in life’s wild chase. No need to hide, no mask to wear, For God’s forgiveness waits us there. Yet this repentance isn’t ours alone, Its ripples touch hearts far from our own. We share His grace, extend our hand, To lead others toward that promised land. So let our lives reflect this truth, A heart repentant, renewed, uncouth. In God’s embrace, we find our song, And echo grace where shadows throng.

Heavenly Father, in the quiet chambers of our hearts, Where shadows linger and guilt abounds, We come before You, humbled and contrite, Seeking mercy, seeking grace. Forgive us, O Lord, for our transgressions, For the moments when pride veiled our eyes, When we wandered far from Your light, And our hearts grew cold. Restore our joy, gracious Redeemer, As we turn from our sin and seek Your face, For true joy blooms in reconciliation, In the sweet communion of Your love. Uphold us, Holy Spirit, in our weakness, When doubts assail and fears torment, Wrap us in Your comforting presence, And lead us back to the path of righteousness. Our hope lies not in our own efforts, But in the boundless ocean of Your grace, Where sins are cast away, forgotten, And new beginnings emerge like dawn. Help us, O God, to rely on Your forgiveness, To abandon the futile coverings of shame, For in vulnerability, we find strength, And in surrender, we discover freedom. Yet this repentance is not ours alone, Its echoes ripple through time and space, Touching hearts we may never know, Drawing others toward Your merciful embrace. Grant us courage, compassionate Savior, To share Your grace and truth with those around us, To be vessels of healing, conduits of hope, Guided by love, anchored in faith. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
